Browser Compatibility Testing

Introduction

Compatibility testing ensures that your software works seamlessly across different platforms, devices, and browsers. Avoid costly compatibility issues and improve the user experience with our browser compatibility testing services. We offer comprehensive and accurate testing for all types of software, including web applications, mobile apps, and desktop applications.

Benefits of Browser Compatibility Testing

Our manual compatibility testing has a number of benefits, including:

  • Accuracy: Manual testers can often find compatibility issues that automated tests cannot. This is because manual testers can use their knowledge and experience to identify potential compatibility issues.

  • Flexibility: Manual testers can test a wide range of compatibility scenarios, including complex scenarios that are difficult to automate.

  • Thoroughness: Manual testers can perform thorough compatibility testing by carefully testing all aspects of the software application or system.

Conclusions

Browser compatibility testing is an important part of the software development process. It helps to ensure that software is accessible to all users, regardless of the hardware, software, or browser they are using. Manual browser compatibility testing is especially important for web applications, which need to be compatible with a wide range of browsers and devices.

02   St John Ambulance

see:detail were sub contracted  to do cross-platform testing of St John Ambulance's iOS / Android App.

The transfer of the application added the complexity of moving from a single operating system with single screen dimensions and resolution, to the Android operating system with multiple versions, multiple handsets and multiple screen dimensions and resolutions.

The requirement from St John Ambulance was that the App functioned the same on Android as it did on the Apple platform.

03   Lycetts

Lycetts run OpenGI, used to administer insurance quotes. Unlike many comparable products that use a web interface, OpenGI is a bespoke programme using its own windows.

Much of the work conducted was very bespoke and hard to generalize. See:detail’s responsibilities varied from task to task, but generally covered any functionality, calculations, and end-to-end processes required by the client.
